From time to time, we received questions pertaining to “HOW TO TO..”, “CAN I DO..” “BEST ADVISE” and a lot more.
GPS TRACKING CENTRE quite often places a blog post for these questions but we thought it may be helpful if we dedicated a page to help you with your FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Q: I have a company that frequently goes into NO CELL coverage areas. Is there an inexpensive way to track my vehicles while off the grid?
A: Yes, there is means that will not cost you an arm and a leg. The only draw back is that the report information is not as Extensive as our Platform provides. The products are located under “PRODUCTS” in our drop down menu and you want to look at the SPOT products. They are Satellite based products and the platform is NOT run or updated by GPS TRACKING CENTRE. Our suggestion is to run both our CalAmp products and the SPOT products for complete coverage and while in the cell area, you still get all the BEST reports and alerts.

Q: If I travel into the USA, will the GPS TRACKING CENTRE (CalAmp) units still track as if they were in CANADA?
A: Good Question.. and the answer is YES. As a matter of fact, my wife drove down to Bellingham Washington and I could not only see where she was but even tell her exactly what parking stall she used in the mall. – Accurate enough?

Q: Can any of your products track my boat?
A: There are many GPS TRACKING system applications out there designed specifically designed for the mariner. Most of them are very expensive. If your boat is within a cellular coverage area, the LMU-330 would be my choice as it is water resistant and it does not have to be exposed to the salt air and water ( if you are in the salt water area). Keep in mind that even close to Vancouver and other other major areas, the cellular coverage does drop off as you get further away from the closest cell tower. In that case, I would use the SPOT TRACE as it is 100% Satellite based.

Q: I read about the Boat application. What about my Quad? What I can do for that or other outdoors equipment?
A: Same thing- If it goes of the grid- Use the Spot Trace. If it is within cellular coverage, use the LMU-330

Q: I have a flatbed truck and a few highway vehicles. Do you have a product that can help me monitor my vehicles?
A: The simple answer is “YES”. There are several units that can be used along with many accessories to provide everything you need. We have customers that require PTO information, driver login, maintenance updates and a lot more. Just send us your list of NEEDS and we will address them for you.
